At this idyllic showroom and eco-friendly studios powered by the Wild Atlantic Winds, you can see Alan and his high-fired wheel-thrown dome tic stoneware pottery and his wife, Sandra, needling her woollen felted landscape pictures. Both have been featured on RTE’s Nationwide and Irish TV’s County Matters and their work attracts collectors around the world.
Alan, who was the founder and first Chairman of the Craft Potters Society of Ireland (now Ceramics Ireland), makes all his own glazes, incorporating some local materials. Both are inspired by their beautiful surroundings of rocky hillside and heather and gorse-like flora which change colour through the seasons.
Their studios are wheelchair accessible and there is ample parking with wonderful views. Demonstrations and tuition available by appointment.
